Terms & Conditions

The terms that apply when you use our website and services

Last Updated: July 14, 2026

1. Introduction and Acceptance

By accessing or using this website you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the website. These Terms apply together with our Privacy Policy.

2. About the Practice

Cajee Botes Orthotist Prosthetist is a private orthotic and prosthetic practice based in Centurion, Gauteng, South Africa, practising in accordance with the requirements of the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). We can be contacted on 064 652 0684 or at care@cajeebotes.com.

3. Purpose of the Website

This website provides general information about our orthotic, prosthetic, compression and mobility services, and enables you to make enquiries and request appointments. No goods or services are sold, and no payments are processed, through this website.

4. No Medical Advice

Content on this website — including device descriptions and the interactive conditions guide — is general information for educational purposes only and does not constitute medical, clinical or professional advice. Always consult a registered healthcare practitioner about your specific condition, and never delay seeking care because of something you have read on this website.

5. Enquiries and the Practitioner–Patient Relationship

Submitting an enquiry, contact form, WhatsApp message or booking request through this website does not create a practitioner–patient relationship and does not guarantee an appointment. A clinical relationship is established only at a confirmed consultation.

6. Appointments, Home and Hospital Visits

We provide consultations at patients' homes and in hospital by prior arrangement, subject to practitioner availability and travel area. Appointment confirmation, rescheduling and cancellation arrangements will be communicated when you book. Reasonable and safe access to the visit location is required for mobile consultations.

7. Clinical Services and Custom-Made Devices

Orthoses, prostheses and other devices we provide are prescribed following individual clinical assessment, and many are custom-manufactured to personal specification. Clinical outcomes vary between patients and no specific result is guaranteed. Devices require periodic review, adjustment and maintenance as advised by your practitioner.

8. Quotations, Fees and Payment

Written quotations are provided before device manufacture. Because custom devices are made to personal specification, cancellation after manufacture has begun may attract reasonable charges as permitted by the Consumer Protection Act. Fees for consultations, devices and travel (where applicable) are payable as set out in your quotation or account.

9. Medical Aid and Funding

We can assist with medical scheme quotations, clinical motivations and pre-authorisations where relevant, but authorisation and payment decisions rest with your scheme or funder. The patient or account holder remains responsible for amounts not covered by a medical scheme or other funder.

10. Privacy and Personal Information

We process personal information — including health information, which is special personal information — in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and applicable health legislation, as set out in our Privacy Policy. Unresolved privacy complaints may be directed to the Information Regulator of South Africa.

11. Professional Conduct and Regulation

Our practitioners are registered with the HPCSA and practise in accordance with its ethical rules. Nothing on this website is intended as canvassing or a claim of superiority over other practitioners. Complaints about professional conduct may be raised with the practice directly or with the HPCSA.

12. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — text, images, logos and graphics — belongs to the practice or its licensors. It may not be reproduced, modified or distributed without prior written consent, other than for personal, non-commercial viewing.

13. Acceptable Use

You may not use this website unlawfully, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, introduce malicious code, or scrape or harvest content or personal information from it.

14. Third-Party Links

Links to third-party websites (for example device manufacturers, medical schemes or hospitals) are provided for convenience only. We do not control and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

15. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

This website is provided "as is" and we do not warrant that it will be error-free, uninterrupted or free of viruses. To the extent permitted by law — and without excluding any liability that may not lawfully be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act — the practice is not liable for loss arising from reliance on website content. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer or patient.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.

17. Amendments

We may amend these Terms from time to time. The version published on this website at the time of your use applies, and continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.

18. Contact

Questions about these Terms or our Privacy Policy may be directed to care@cajeebotes.com or 064 652 0684.
